BOARD MINUTES

September 17, 2023

Board members who were present were Vicar Gary Grindvalds, Miranda Kliment, Arnold

Heyen, Esther Jonas, Leah Whitcomb, Shannon Williams.

We began the meeting with a prayer.

The minutes to the last meeting were studied and approved.

Secretary Pat Heyen had an overview of the payments of the organ. The total cost of

the organ is 43,251.00. We added additional parts and speakers. An attachment will

show what the payments were and when. We will need to give a big thank you to the

congregation for helping to pay for the organ.

We had our first coffee and it went fine but a request was made to change the time. It is

rather early for many people. A suggestion is 8:30. We will try this then try after church

at 10:00.

Lawn social recap:

-move the tables by the south sidewalk and maybe more tables

-pasta salads went fast, ask for more salads next year

-lawn games, ex corn hole

-look at getting better buns

-175-200 people

-prayer and blessing before the social for workers, maybe have an emcee to say thank

you for coming.

Harvest breakfast:

October 15, 2023, 8:30am

Lutheran world relief kits will be worked on

Bylaws:

Gary will talk to other cluster pastors

On October 5 there will be a Nebraska Cluster Retreat here. There will be a group of

Vicars, Pastors and someone from the seminary. It will last from 10-3. Gary will also be

there.

Ashley Heyen and Tyler Kinghorn on October 7, 2023
