BOARD MINUTES

May 21, 2023

Board members who were present were Miranda Kliment, Pat Heyen, Leah Whitcomb, Gary Grindvald, Esther Jonas, and Arnold Heyen.

Gary started the meeting with a prayer

The minutes were looked over and accepted.

The treasury funds are good.  We do need to look at different insurance companies.

Organ update:

The organ has been ordered

The initial down payment was made of $7,970. (20%)

The next payment will be $27,895. (70%)

The final payment will be $3,985. (10%)

The full cost of the organ is $46,905.  ($33,000 + $13,905)

Miranda will start to reach out to the other accounts to get their money into general so the checks can be made for payment.

We need to come up with $21,960.

Shipping will be the last week of June and installation will be the first or second week of July.

The Czech Presbyterian church is happy with Gary.  They have voted to sign an agreement with Grace for next year.  Before July they do need to know how much they will need to pay.  They have also changed their services to 10:30am for the summer

Our church services have been changed to 9:00am during the summer months.

We need to check the list and always have backup plans when we have an event here.

A correction was made in the rental agreement form.  The use of the church will be $500.00 payable at time of rental.  For select spaces it will be negotiable.  Maybe have a list of what to prepare for a wedding.

Our Memorial Day picnic will be May 28, 2023.

We have a wedding on June 24 for Brittney and Eric.

The funeral for Karen Eskew (Kevin Whitcomb’s sister) will be June 25.

The lawn social will be Aug 27.  We will need to advertise.

Our next meeting will be June 18 at 8:00am.
