Grace Board Meeting July 12, 2023

GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH

BOARD MINUTES

JULY 12, 2023

Board members who were present were: Miranda Kliment, Arnold Heyen, Esther Jonas,

Gary Grindvalds and Shannon Williams.

We began the meeting with a prayer.

The minutes from the last meeting were looked at and passed.

Organ update:

We hope to get it in late July or early August. The current congregation donations for the

organ is $8,100.00. Any donations from the ice cream social will go to the organ fund. The

Cemetery board will fill in the funds that will be needed.

Czech Presbyterian Church signed an agreement with Gary Grindvalds for another

year. They have also decided to change service times to 10:30am and we will have service at

9:00am. We will have these times for a trial period of one year and see how this works out for

both congregations.

We are still working on having a joint service with St. John’s in Yutan. We will have a

message on Facebook when with them.

June Reflection:

The wedding went well. The bride (Brittney) wanted to make a donation to the church but

since she is a member there is no charge.

The ice cream social is August 27. We need to make sure that there are plenty of plates,

cups etc.

Internship Committee:

New member: Britney Tvrdy

We need a safe place for all of the older records.

Confirmation will be Wednesday evenings and start in September 7:00pm at the church .

We will need to overseed the church lawn in the fall.

Our next meeting will be August 16, 2023 7:30pm at Heyen shop.

The meeting ended with the Lord’s Prayer.
