Grace Board Meeting January 11, 2022

Arnold Heyen, Gary Grivnalds, Miranda Kliment, Esther Jonas, and Alan Pearson on phone were present.

Gary opened with a prayer.

We have some new families with children who have been coming to church. We would like to talk to

them about what they would like to do for confirmation or Christian education. There are seven

children. We hope that we will be able to tailor a program they are wanting. Hopefully they will come

to our next meeting.

We went over the budget for the year 2022. It will be brought to the membership for approval.

We received payment of 44,4845.20 from the insurance company to pay South-0 Roofing. This is partial

payment for the steeple. There are remaining payments on the completion of the steeple and th

completion of the full project. We also need the front doors to be fixed.

We have chosen February 13 to have our annual meeting We will need to have all the treasurer books

at the church so the auditing committee can look them over before the meeting.

We needed to change the auditing committee because of people who have left. Now on the committee

it will be: Esther Jonas, Miranda Kliment, and Rhonda Obert.

Rhonda Obert, Miranda Kliment, Esther Jonas will work on the year book to get it out.

Esther questioned whose term was up this year. This lead to a confusion until we looked back at when

each was voted in to figure it out. This year Esther Jonas, secretary, is off.

During our Lenten season we will be having our Wednesday night service. We will be gin to explore

“Grace”. These will start on March 9 th . There will be sign up sheets like usual for food.

New Business:

The next council meeting is February 23 at 7:00 at church.

Bishop Maas is leaving and another leader will have to be voted on. Here in our area the place to vote

for a new Bishop will be in Wahoo. Those who will vote are the delegates to the synod conference.

Gary will help with that.
