BOARD MINUTES

February 19,2023

President Miranda Kliment read the minutes to the last meeting.  It was accepted.

The terms of the members were discussed:

President - Miranda Kliment

Vice President - Arnold Heyen

Secretary - Esther Jonas

Rhonda Obert, Arnold Heyen and Allan Pearson will look into who is able to tune the organ.  There are 3 in Omaha and 1 in Iowa.

The new hymnals are here, these are the updated version.

We will pay Vicar Gary his payment for his tuition and add a bonus.

Miranda discussed a new Google Docs that all board members can access.  It will show all that is done each month and what will need to be done, plus other things.

The Epiphany service went well but there was a discussion of how it went, and what to change for next time.  We will need to start reminding people about early December.  We need to put it and upcoming events on Facebook and have an events calendar.

We need to have more church organization, structure is missing.  We need to have a discussion before things happen.

Inventory our plates etc tor events that will happen so we make sure we have everything we need.

Lent begins February 22, 2023.

Bible study will begin with a meal.  This year will be different where people will choose what they will like to discuss.  They will first go over it with Vicar Gary.  The study will be each Wednesday during Lent at 6:30.

Luther League will begin March.

Grace will have a joint service with St. John’s of Yutan for Pentecost on May 28, 2023.  This would be our Memorial Day Picnic as well.

The internship committee met with Pastor Kris on January 22, 2023,

Service and communion are now downstairs.   We figured out a way to have communion without any congestion.

Leah Whitcom made a motion to adjourn and Shannon Williams seconded.  All agreed.
